Attention, for the next cold season, is focused on evergreen moleskins and wide wale corduroy to realise “malleable and comforting” clothing, that continue to be rediscovered but adapted to the taste and needs of our Internal Style Office. It is a collection centred around the search for true beaty and comfort, able to offer an essential and timeless wardrobe.

Velvet and moleskin that last forever 

Velvet and moleskin have always been a certainty: a great classic, that never goes out of fashion, to be explored through blazers and trousers characterised by soft and shiny texture and extreme practicality. 

These fabrics for clothing give pleasant sensations thanks to their warm fluidity, comfort and functionality without forgetting the aesthetic value they give to each item of clothing. 

We chose them for a refined and functional outdoor outfit, also in mixed compositions with modal and tencel for clothing fabrics with a super soft and sagging touch.

The combination of velvet with modal and tencel offers higher resistance, softness and lightness: clothing items realised with these fabrics maintain their elasticity also after several washings.  

Exploit of colours, between discretion and extravagance

Velvet and moleskin for our Fall-Winter Collection 23/24 are proposed in a joyful palette that composes and mixes strong colours, discordant or relaxing, to create a unique and timeless style: the Azalea, so happy and joyous, always fashionable; the Testa di Moro (Dark Brown), deep and refined; the Night Green, saturated and dense, a dark colour that is fundamental in the palette of trendy colours; the Pistachio, soft and elegant. 

All the corduroys that we propose can have 500,1000, 2000 stripes (different dimension of wale).

For our Fall-Winter Collection 23/24, we also added to velvets and moleskins: technical fabrics, couplings of microfibres and membranes, resins, stone washings; viscose gauzes, rayon and casual cotton and denim; yarn-dyed fabrics with an increased patterned effect and jacquards with playful structured texture fabrics; cottons with new structured texture fabrics and embossed structures that can be customised.

Tie-dyed velvet: the art of imperfection

Discover the unique beauty of hand-dyed velvets, where every hue tells a story  Velvet is a fabric very appreciated by fashion, for many reasons: it creates fluid and elegant lines, is available in a wide range of finishing types, from smooth velvet to corduroy, offers many creative possibilities. Furthermore, this fabric is well suited to particular dyes and finishing, as in the case of the so called “tie-dyed” effect.  What is the meaning of tie-dyed in fabrics for clothing?  Tie-dyed means that a fabric for clothing, velvet in this case, was dyed in an uneven way; therefore, it presents a not homogeneous, irregular colour, with striping that confers character and identity. The uneven effect is wanted and sought after.  Why tie-dyed velvet?  With tie-dyed velvet it is possible to create pieces of clothing with a contemporary allure, with a daily and relaxed style. Fluid trousers and shirts with an elegant and shiny touch, versatile jackets and soft embracing coats, with lines that develop themselves comfortable along the silhouette.  Tie-dyed velvets by Pontex  We have created a capsule of precious velvets for clothing with tie-dyed effect, ready to tailor the desired piece of clothing. Our velvets are suitable for garment dyeing process too, that is when the piece of clothing is dyed after tailoring instead of before the realisation of the piece itself. In this case, the piece of clothing acquires a really unique effect because dye distributes in a slightly different way on each piece. Furthermore, garment dyeing allows to dye pieces of clothing made of different materials and fibres in only one passage. For the dyeing process, we rely on the best experts in Northern Italy, specialised in piece and garment dyeing fabrics for clothing by using the most innovative techniques now available. We synergistically work side by side with them in order to realise a product that is unique and customised.  The dyeing process to obtain the tie-dyed effect is hand-made, in a fully artisanal way, through the so-called “spraying”. Upon request, dyeing can be made with natural colours, at a cold temperature, using pigments and resins to dye at relatively low temperatures, with considerable energy saving and reducing impact on environment.  It is important to underline that these particular dyes, as well as finishing, coating and resin-treatments are resistant over time only when realised on top-quality fabrics.  Why rely on Pontex?  Because we are craftsmen in fabric: we dedicate ourselves to the creation of unique and precious, high-quality fabrics for clothing, with a high aesthetical and functional value.
