Garment dyeing (old, stone washed and délavé)
Garment dyeing is a dyeing technique that consists in dyeing an already sewed piece of clothing. It is possible to do this on many types of fabric: we are mainly focused 100% cotton or cotton and elastam fabrics for clothing.
To these fabrics, dyes and treatments are applied that can give them a used and super vintage (old) look, with shades with an emphasised visual impact (délavé) or even with an almost “worn out” look and a colour that is not uniform (stone washed, stone washed with enzymes).
Garment dyeing techniques and treatments can only be realised on high-quality fabrics, capable of resisting possible processes, abrasions and lacerations: it means that the item of clothing shall not tear or wear itself out when it is put on.
Thanks to the collaboration that has bound us for several years to the Tintoria Emiliana, an historical entity that works on sewed items of clothing for the most demanding griffes in fashion, we are able to offer to our Customers a wide range of fabrics, to be garment-dyed, always available in stock, to realise garment-dyed items of clothing (blazers and trousers in particular) with the utmost resistance and able to offer a look that changes washing after washing, thus giving the finished item of clothing a unique look. Thanks to an accurate and constant control by its Quality Department, Pontex is always able to guarantee the highest performances of the fabric washing after washing.
All these fabrics can be customised depending on the look chosen for the finished item of clothing.
