Clays and oxides for the dyeing of new Pontex fabrics dedicated to Spring Summer: a capsule with a strong ethical and sustainable value, to create unique and customised garments

The core of the Pontex Spring Summer 2027 Collection is a capsule collection of clothing fabrics whose dyeing emphasises upcycling and the use of natural and renewable resources, thus with a strong ethical and sustainable value.
This innovation is the result of collaboration with the Modenese Tintoria Emiliana, which in its dyeing research for Pontex clothing fabrics (cottons, linens and viscoses in particular) has created a true chromatic and material pathway that redesigns the surface of the fabric and gives the garment a strong ethical and sustainable value.
Pxt (ready to dye) fabrics are ennobled through an innovative process that combines natural clays and recycled oxides (by-products of the chemical and steel industry), reducing environmental impact and creating unique colours.
CLAY: natural raw materials and low-impact treatment

One hundred per cent sustainable fabrics, in raw materials and dyes: natural bases such as cottons, linens and viscoses, to which the material texture of clay is applied through spray finishing Pilos, from the Greek pilòs, clay, by Tintoria Emiliana. This finishing involves the partial or total spreading of clay on the fabric, creating an irregular texture that evokes the image of the earth when it dries and cracks.
Each fabric is transformed into a tactile and visual work of art, resulting in truly unique garments. The visual and tactile effect is unique and changes wash after wash.
OXIDES: industrial upcycling

Stretch cottons and cottons are dyed with colours obtained from oxides, by-products of the chemical and steel industry that are recycled and reused as dye pigments for dyeing, turning a potential industrial waste into a new resource.
This process gives the fabric a sustainable value determined by the recycled origin of the products used.
With this particular type of dyeing by Tintoria Emiliana, a precious and unique delavè effect is obtained, very shaded, with intense and natural colours.
Circular Economy Objective
The Ossidi e Argille fabriccapsule created by Pontex together with Tintoria Emiliana promotes the goal of acircular economy through the reduction of waste(upcycling) and the use of renewable(natural) resources and tells a story of innovation, respect for the environment and also artistic sensitivity, in line with the corporate values of sustainability and innovation of the two Modenese companies.
