For this Christmas, Pontex supports Piccoli Grandi Cuori

We have chosen a symbolic Christmas gift, full of solidarity: through a donation, we are supporting hospitality projects for children born with congenital heart defects

This Christmas, we have chosen to support the association’s hospitality project: a home that hosts the families of children with congenital heart diseases, born with heart malformations.

Our history is made of people, dedication, and attention to detail. For over 50 years, we have been committed to ennobling fabrics to offer the best quality and care, and we believe that this commitment must also be directed towards our territory and the community that surrounds us.

For this reason, this year too, we have decided to open the doors of Christmas to solidarity by supporting Piccoli Grandi Cuori, the association that since 1997 has stood by the side of people with congenital heart diseases and their families, from the moment of diagnosis throughout the entire treatment journey.

The Project: A Welcoming Home

With a significant donation, we have chosen to contribute concretely to the maintenance of the “Polo dei Cuori”. This is a hospitality house located in Bologna, created to host free of charge the families of patients (including many young boys and girls) hospitalized at the Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery and Developmental Age Department of the IRCCS Policlinico di Sant’Orsola.

Often, during hospitalizations—which can coincide with long stays or delicate heart transplants—permanent assistance in the ward is granted to only one parent. Our contribution serves to ensure that dads in particular, but also grandparents, brothers, and sisters, are not left alone: thanks to the Polo dei Cuori they can receive free hospitality, the keys to a real “Home” and, above all, not be forced to separate in their time of need.

Words from Letizia Ferretti, CEO

The choice of this initiative reflects the deep values of our company.

“Every child has the right to be treated, to be welcomed, and wrapped in a safe embrace: we have been supporting this association for some time because we know its strong solidarity action directly and we know that they do their best to guarantee these sick children and their families the best assistance and care.” — Letizia Ferretti, CEO of Pontex

Concrete Help

The support we have chosen to give to Piccoli Grandi Cuori, for this Christmas as well, will allow the association to continue offering essential services even after the holiday season:

  • Free hospitality for parents arriving from afar.
  • Psychological and social assistance for patients and families.
  • Art therapy workshops for the little patients.
  • Taxi Project, for free transport of families from the hospitality house to the hospital.

We wanted to share this gesture of solidarity with our collaborators and clients through a personalized greeting letter because we believe that the most precious fabric is that of human relationships and solidarity.
