Very soft and sagging, delicate and impalpable hand, good humour coral red colour: these are the characteristics of our trousers in Linen & Tencel, absolutely one of the most chosen items in the collection of fabrics for clothing by Pontex for the Spring Summer. It is impossible not to fall in love with this warm and wrapping dye, that combines pink and orange and reminds of the colour of corals on the bottom of the warm tropical ocean.

Slub effect to create intriguing visual aspects 

Linen is a natural fibre, it is hypoallergenic and completely biodegradable: together with being insulating and temperature-regulating, it also has got great resistance to wear. Processing it is fully sustainable and when mixed with other sustainable fibres like tencel, true to the needs for elasticity and wearability, it enables to obtain fresh and breathable fabrics for clothing, like these trousers that, once put on, “fit perfectly”.

Fresh and natural fibres

Linen and tencel are fresh and natural fibres, eco-friendly, against a fashion of waste: high-performing fabrics that last over time. Their capability to absorb colour, also when natural dyes are used, enables to obtain items of clothing with very intense colours. 

100% eco-friendly

Pontex trousers are completely ecological, in raw materials but also in garment dyeing. To obtain this “good humour coral red” colour, we use natural dyes taken from red beetroot, red cabbage and pomegranate peel. Our purpose? To respect environment, using sustainable raw materials and natural dyes to reduce impact on environment as indicated in the goal 12 of the Agenda 2030 “Responsible consumption and production”.

Tie-dyed velvet: the art of imperfection

Discover the unique beauty of hand-dyed velvets, where every hue tells a story  Velvet is a fabric very appreciated by fashion, for many reasons: it creates fluid and elegant lines, is available in a wide range of finishing types, from smooth velvet to corduroy, offers many creative possibilities. Furthermore, this fabric is well suited to particular dyes and finishing, as in the case of the so called “tie-dyed” effect.  What is the meaning of tie-dyed in fabrics for clothing?  Tie-dyed means that a fabric for clothing, velvet in this case, was dyed in an uneven way; therefore, it presents a not homogeneous, irregular colour, with striping that confers character and identity. The uneven effect is wanted and sought after.  Why tie-dyed velvet?  With tie-dyed velvet it is possible to create pieces of clothing with a contemporary allure, with a daily and relaxed style. Fluid trousers and shirts with an elegant and shiny touch, versatile jackets and soft embracing coats, with lines that develop themselves comfortable along the silhouette.  Tie-dyed velvets by Pontex  We have created a capsule of precious velvets for clothing with tie-dyed effect, ready to tailor the desired piece of clothing. Our velvets are suitable for garment dyeing process too, that is when the piece of clothing is dyed after tailoring instead of before the realisation of the piece itself. In this case, the piece of clothing acquires a really unique effect because dye distributes in a slightly different way on each piece. Furthermore, garment dyeing allows to dye pieces of clothing made of different materials and fibres in only one passage. For the dyeing process, we rely on the best experts in Northern Italy, specialised in piece and garment dyeing fabrics for clothing by using the most innovative techniques now available. We synergistically work side by side with them in order to realise a product that is unique and customised.  The dyeing process to obtain the tie-dyed effect is hand-made, in a fully artisanal way, through the so-called “spraying”.
