The fashion trends for Autumn Winter 2022.2023 represent the desire to wear clothes with a sportswear look: in the Pontex Collection the most popular clothing fabrics are Cotton, Viscose, Elastomer, Tencel
Elegance, understatement, comfort and functionality: these are the characteristics we find most in the most popular clothing fabrics in our 2022.2023 Autumn Winter Collection.
100% Cotton, plush effect assured
One hundred per cent cotton in article 01601/P01 Drill Falkner Brushed frosted on the right side and gauzed on the reverse side: a fabric with a soft, loose and unstructured hand, with a ‘plush’ effect and therefore very comfortable.
Cotton is the most natural fibre in the world: it is hypoallergenic, does not develop unpleasant odours and has excellent resistance. This fabric for clothing has a high wearability and is very warm but at the same time light to wear: therefore perfect for the autumn and winter season, to make trousers – also skinny – and in general stylish and also practical clothes.
Soft, comfortable, breathable, versatile and easy to work, the plush-effect fabric by Pontex for the Autumn Winter 22.23 Collection has an inner and outer part of the same tone-on-tone colour, the result of the different absorption of colour on the inner gauze.
The same article can also be produced in the various colours requested by the customer.
100% Cotton, buffed
One hundred per cent cotton again in the article Canvas 01603/P02 Vallon ready for garment dyeing frosted: ideal for making sportswear jackets and trousers, but in general comfortable and versatile garments, this fabric for clothing from the Pontex Autumn Winter 22.23 Collection has a perfect fit and the garment dyeing gives it a ‘delavé look’.
It is very resistant to washing, both stone and super silicone treatments.
The canvas weave creates a play of light enhancing the softness of the fabric.
Viscose, Cotton and Elastomer
Our garment dyed ready-to-wear article Mathilde 05704/P05 is made of Viscose, Cotton and Elastomer: perfect for creating trousers and jackets and also glamorous garments that verge on the most elegant in darker colours. All the colours of this Pontex fabric are available in stock, thus customisable and with fast delivery.
A versatile and wear-resistant article, thanks to the union of these three compositions: Viscose, soft and comfortable; Cotton, natural and breathable; Elastomer, which gives the garment elasticity.
In the ‘piece-dyed’ version, which we make available in stock, this article has a cleaner appearance, without losing its characteristics of softness, elasticity and comfort.
Sustainable & Tencel
Sustainable, ecological and natural: this is our 1804/P05 Blossom stretch ready to dye, made of Tencel, a highly sustainable cellulosic fibre. A fabric with a falling hand, suitable for making any type of garment as it has incredible comfort.
Without being heavy, it is soft and warm but also durable and highly breathable.
Elastic and smooth to the touch, it shows very intense colours thanks to the absorbency of the fibres it is made of. The fibre base is Eucalyptus wood: comfortable and practical for its uses, it can be washed without contraindications.
Indigo Special
Special shades for garments that over time acquire different and never predictable aspects: the Pontex 22.23 Collection includes three Indigo articles with different shades depending on the wash: chlorine washes to achieve a hyper-bleached effect; stone washes to achieve a slightly delavé effect.
- Article 6502/29 Indigo velvet stretch water soft: 80% Cotton, 18% Polyester, 2% Elastomer
- Article 6503/29 Indigo uncut stretch water soft: 60 % Cotton, 38 % Rayon, 2 % Elastomer
- Article 6504/29 8W Indigo water soft: 100% Cotton.
Whichever article you choose, one thing is certain: when you wear an Indigo garment, you are wearing something special, because of the shades of the dye it takes on: wash after wash, other dyes tend to grease, while the Indigo dye lightens while maintaining a brilliant hue.
Indigo is a pigment of plant origin: it is obtained from Indigofera Tinctoria, which is rich in indingotine, an active substance that is extracted from leaves left to ferment in large vats together with alkaline solutions. It is a so-called ‘vat dye’: being an insoluble substance in water, it must be transformed into a soluble form so that it can dye the fibres of the fabric to be dyed.
Indigo in the solar spectrum lies between red and violet.
