Pontex Fall/Winter 27/28 Collection: the creative metamorphosis of fabric

Velvet fabric with a ‘shady’ finish from the Autumn/Winter 2728 collection by Pontex

In the new Fall/Winter 27/28 Collection, Pontex challenges the very nature of classic clothing fabrics and transforms them using piece-dyeing and resin treatments that radically alter their hand and appearance.

This season, finishing takes centre stage; depending on the weave of the fabric to which it is applied, it can produce markedly different results with unique and unrepeatable effects, in a true creative metamorphosis.

Here are the main fabrics and finishing in this new collection:

  • satin fabrics given a faux-leather finish;
  • cotton poplin where the dye interacts with the surface of the fabric, creating a different effect on
    on right and reverse side;
  • bleached cottons that catch the light in unexpected ways, creating unique depths;
  • cotton moleskine reimagined through playful textures, special rubberised finishing and innovative textural effects, with colour contrasts between right and reverse sides;
  • velvets that play on the texture of the pile;
  • moleskins and resin-coated cottons with two-tone effects that lend a three-dimensional quality to the finished garment;
  • fluidviscose and soft tencel, rayon and cupro with a truly exquisite feel.

The range is rounded off by an exclusive selection of printed fabrics and a range of resin-coated and laminated cottons, enhanced by two-tone effects that lend the finished garment an exceptional three-dimensional quality.

This is the FW 27/28 Collection by Pontex: a range where aesthetic is not merely visual but also deeply material and tactile, featuring garments that become unique, one-of-a-kind, handcrafted ‘works of art’ destined to last forever and to amaze every time they are looked at or worn.

Dye is the true star of the collection

This new Pontex collection includes a special capsule range of piece-dyed fabrics, created in collaboration with Tintoria Emiliana, embodying an authentic ‘Made in Italy’ production chain characterised by research, expertise, collaboration and customisation.

The aim, as Letizia Ferretti, CEO, explains, is to “offer customers a comprehensive service: from the selection of raw materials – including unique, high-quality piece-dyed fabrics – to the production of the finished garment in the desired colour”.

Garment-dyed fabric is a highly competitive option for clothing brands seeking to minimise waste, as it allows them to dye only the raw material they have ordered.

“Achieving market objectives also depends on genuine synergy in communication and mutual promotion.”

Letizia Ferretti, CEO

The capsule collection, developed in collaboration with Tintoria Emiliana, is based on three distinct dyeing processes:

  • Shady
  • Polyurethane Stratigraphy
  • Chromatic Subtraction (Corrosion)

In the new Fall/Winter 2728 Collection, raw materials, innovation and maximum customisation come together to create fabrics that can be reused time and time again.
