Our support for the association Piccoli Grandi Cuori Odv, which for 25 years has been welcoming and supporting congenital heart patients, very often infants and children, and their families, continues.
The association works alongside the Department of Paediatric and Adolescent Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery at the Sant’Orsola General Hospital in Bologna. For several years now, in our own small way, we have been trying to make a contribution to support the activities of this association, which supports families through psychological, social and care services. In 2021, we participated in their fundraising to make the hospital that receives these patients more beautiful, colourful and welcoming.
On Sunday 1 May, at the Santa Rita Farm in Cognento (Mo), a ‘Un cuore in fattoria’ (A heart on the farm) will be held, a whole day of events open to children and families, with the support – among others – of Pontex: for info on the ‘Un cuore in fattoria’ event click here: https://www.piccoligrandicuori.it/news/un-cuore-in-fattoria
The initiative aims to raise funds in favour of Piccoli Grandi Cuori and in particular the ‘Put your heart into it’ project that supports ‘Polo dei Cuori’, the home that accommodates congenital heart disease patients and their families free of charge during their course of treatment, to help them live a more serene everyday life. Between 2015 and 2021, ‘Polo dei Cuori’ welcomed 977 families, with a total of 1,793 people using the accommodation services.
